Novelist

I chose Teens, then Graphic Novels, and finally broke it down to Superheroes. I think this would be a great way to show patrons a recommended list of items that they might be interested in and that could lead them to finding related books that would help them.

Bookletter

I signed up for the free top 15 Fiction Bookletter and the top 15 Non-Fiction Bookletter. It is my hope that by keeping up to date with these, I will always be able to let patrons know what the newest books are.

Blog # 17---Podcasts

I listened to the LearnOutLoud and the BBC podcasts...found them to be interesting for what they were...I have listened to other more hobby-centric podcasts that were a lot more fascinating...a recent one with NPR that was with Alice Cooper for example :).

Blog #19--Comparing Wikis

I looked at a few of the wikis and could see the benefit of the library having one. Perhaps if we talk about topics important to our patrons, it would allow patrons to come in and add in their own suggestions, etc...of course one would have to look out for the potential bad language that a patron could leave...we would of course filter out things like that.

Blog # 18--Play in the Sandbox

I added in both favorite musician and movies...I enjoyed being able to add my thoughts etc to this much like in Wikipedia (something I have had experience posting to before). I find it fascinating that our words are monitored and that if any misinformation is present, it is looked at thoroughly and attempted to be erased.

RSS Feeds

Well I subscribed to the following 2 RSS feeds: WWE and Bloody-Disgusting (horror movie news). Well I think the idea of the RSS feeds makes for a great way to save time. As long as these feeds are updated via the sites they come from, you can collect all your news and information in one place versus the constant visits to different websites. I could easily see this as something I would continue to use in the months and years to come.
